cliiip is operated by HUMANE AI LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 14815105. In this policy, "cliiip", "we", and "us" mean HUMANE AI LTD.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy covers the cliiip marketing website and the cliiip macOS app.

3. Clipboard content in the macOS app

cliiip is designed as an offline-first clipboard history app. Clipboard content is processed on your Mac for history, search, redaction, protected review, previews, quick actions, and optional encrypted local history.

• We do not receive your clipboard history.
• We do not run cloud analysis on clipboard content.
• We do not sync clipboard content to a cliiip account.
• Encrypted history import and export files are created and read locally on your Mac.

4. App data stored locally

The app may store local data needed to operate features you enable, including:

• Clipboard history and protected-review items, subject to your retention settings.
• Pinned clips, duplicate counts, source app metadata, and timestamps.
• Settings for recording, sensitive mode, auto-clear, optional One-Action Paste, theme, language, and accessibility.
• Redaction settings, custom redaction rules, app profiles, excluded-app entries, and hotkey preferences.
• Encrypted local history data if you turn encrypted local history on.

Rich clipboard capture can store image data and file references or bookmarks locally. File references may stop working if the original file is moved, deleted, or becomes unreadable; cliiip should not be treated as a durable backup of copied files.

You can clear history, protected-review items, and persisted local history from inside the app. You can also export selected settings and history with a passphrase.

5. Website data we collect

The website uses Google Analytics 4 only after you select Allow analytics. Before you allow it, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no website measurement is sent to Google. If you decline after previously allowing analytics, we send the updated consent state, remove cliiip's Google Analytics cookies, and reload the page with analytics off.

When allowed, Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate visits and interactions so we can improve the website. Information may include pages viewed, referring channels, broad location, browser and device details, session statistics, and interactions such as scrolling or outbound-link clicks. Google Analytics uses online identifiers stored in first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions.

We do not send Google Analytics clipboard content, names, email addresses, account details, or user-provided identifiers. The website does not include public submission forms. We have disabled advertising storage, advertising personalisation, Google signals, and URL passthrough. Read more about how Google handles information in the Google Privacy Policy.

The website is hosted online and the app may be distributed through platform channels. We do not sell personal data.

If you allow website analytics, measurement data is sent to Google as our analytics provider and may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Google describes its safeguards and data practices in its privacy documentation.

8. Retention

• Local app history is retained only on your Mac according to the settings you choose in the app.
• Your website analytics choice is treated as current for up to 180 days and is then requested again.
• Google Analytics cookies are configured to expire 180 days after they are first set.
• Analytics event and user-level data follows the retention setting in our Google Analytics property.
• The website does not keep form submissions or optional contact-detail records.

9. Your choices

• Turn clipboard recording on or off in Settings.
• Use excluded apps or app profiles to stop or change capture for specific apps.
• Disable encrypted local history, clear persisted data, or clear history from the app.
• Allow or decline website analytics when asked.
• Change your website analytics choice at any time using Analytics choices in the footer. Declining removes cliiip's Google Analytics cookies from this browser and applies to future collection.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data we hold about you. To make a request, use privacy@humane-ai.co.uk.

The app's local clipboard history is controlled on your Mac. We cannot access or delete local app data for you because we do not receive it.

If UK data protection law applies, you may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. If EU data protection law applies to your use, you may have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We store your analytics choice in this browser so the website can respect it. This preference is treated as expired after 180 days and removed when you next visit. It is used only to remember your choice.

The Google Analytics cookies are created only after you allow analytics. The site does not use analytics for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We may update this policy as cliiip changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
